Our Story

African Music CreatorsDeserves World-Class Infrastructure.

BeatHub Africa exists because extraordinary producers across the continent were making extraordinary music — and the tools to sell it, protect it, and get paid fairly simply didn't exist. We decided to build them.

How We Got Here

Built from
Frustration.

It started with a simple observation: African producers are among the most technically gifted and culturally influential creators in the world — and yet they are consistently underserved by every marketplace that exists.

Payouts that take weeks. Platforms with no local payment options. Discovery algorithms that don't understand that a well-placed log drum in an Amapiano track is a craft decision, not a mistake. Licensing terms written by lawyers in New York for markets that look nothing like Lagos, Accra, or Nairobi.

Meanwhile, the artists who need great beats — the Afropop singers, the drill acts, the R&B vocalists building careers across the continent and the diaspora — are navigating the same broken system from the other side. Overpaying. Getting ripped off. Losing rights they didn't know they had.

BeatHub Africa is the answer we built because no one else was building it.

The problems
we're solving.

💸
Payments that don't work for us
Stripe requires a US bank. PayPal blocks whole continents. Flutterwave isn't supported on half the platforms our producers want to sell on. African creators have been building workarounds for years just to get paid.
🌍
Platforms built for somewhere else
BeatStars, Airbit, Soundee — great platforms, built for a different market. They don't price in Naira. They don't understand Amapiano licensing. Their discovery algorithms weren't trained on Afrobeats.
👻
Talent that stays invisible
There are producers in Lagos, Accra, and Nairobi making beats that would top global charts — but no infrastructure to reach the artists who need them. Great music stays local by accident, not by choice.
📄
Licensing built for lawyers
Most producers sell beats with a WhatsApp message and a hope. No proper license, no clear usage rights, no protection if the beat blows up. The informal economy has talent. It deserves formal infrastructure.

What Drives Us
Our Mission

Empower African creators to earn globally — on their own terms.

To build the most trusted marketplace for African music producers and artists. A platform where producers earn what their talent deserves, artists find world-class sounds without the barriers, and the infrastructure finally matches the ambition of the people using it.

Our Vision

A world where African music infrastructure is world-class.

Ten years from now, the sounds shaping global music culture will trace their roots back to studios across Africa. BeatHub Africa will be the platform that made that commercially sustainable — a lasting piece of creative economy infrastructure that outlives trends and serves creators across generations.

Why It Matters

The Impact We're
Building Toward.

01
More income for creators
Producers who upload to BeatHub Africa keep 85% of every sale. 15% platform cut. No hidden fees. Their talent, their earnings — finally aligned.
02
Access for every artist
Artists anywhere on the continent can discover, license, and download professional-quality beats with payment methods that actually work for them.
03
African sound, global stage
When producers are properly compensated and artists have proper tools, the music they make together travels further. BeatHub Africa is how the world hears us clearly.
04
Ownership by default
Every transaction on BeatHub Africa comes with a proper license. Not a WhatsApp promise — an actual, enforceable agreement that protects everyone.
05
A stronger creative economy
Music is one of Africa's most powerful exports. Building real commercial infrastructure around it creates jobs, wealth, and cultural influence that compounds.
06
Proof that it can be done
Every producer who earns their first international sale on BeatHub Africa is proof that Africa-built creator infrastructure can work at world standard.

What We Stand For

Six Beliefs That
Guide Everything.

Creator First
Every product decision starts with one question: does this make life better for the producer or artist? Revenue models, features, policies — all of it built around the creator.
African Excellence
We are not building a version of something that already exists for someone else. We are building something new — rooted in African culture, designed for African realities, built to global standard.
Trust & Transparency
No hidden fees. No confusing license terms. No vague payout timelines. Producers see exactly what they earn. Artists know exactly what they're buying. Clear is kind.
Community Over Competition
A producer and an artist are not adversaries — they are collaborators building the same thing. We build infrastructure that rewards both sides and grows the whole.
Innovation With Purpose
We use technology — sync licensing, digital distribution, global payments — not because it's impressive, but because it solves real problems for real people.
Long Game Thinking
BeatHub Africa is not a quick-flip product. We are building infrastructure for a generation of African creators. That means making decisions that are right in 2035, not just right now.

The Team

Join Early

The First Wave
Always Wins.

We are early. That is an advantage, not a warning. Here is why joining now matters more than joining later.

01
Visibility before the crowd
Early producers get indexed first. Your catalog builds authority while the platform is growing. The algorithms remember who was here first.
02
Shape what we build
We talk to early users constantly. Your feedback doesn't go into a ticket queue — it changes the product. Early members have outsized influence on features.
03
85% commission for producers
We are in founder mode. That means producers keep 85% of every sale right now without any hidden fees or subscriptions. The economics will evolve — but early members lock in the best terms.
04
Part of something real
African music is having a moment globally. BeatHub Africa is the infrastructure underneath that moment. Being here now means being part of the story when it's told.
